 Dear all, the summer is almost here and you should go outside, instead of reading my blog😂

But with all seriousness.....this will be my last blog for now due to the exam period that is coming here faster than you can say tvaružky. At this time I think it is fair to give a quick honest overview of the Czech Republic and its people😁

If you go on a trip in Czechia do not forget to buy tickets, the lowest fine is around 30€. Otherwise, most places take cards, but you can exchange some money just in case. The budget-friendly amount of money should be around 2500 per week.

In general, Czechia is a very nice country, I do recommend visiting it. You can find something for everyone. In the case of the Erasmus exchange, I have been on 2 exchanges before (1 short and one for the whole semester) and I would recommend coming here, but remember that  every trip or exchange can be good or bad, it all depends on your look on life and your ability to see good in every situation.

Basketball, football, volleyball, handball, swimming, tennis. Am I forgetting something?? Yes, if you're in Czechia, you should definitely mention HOCKEY!!!!! Hey there, fellow travelers! Did you know that students in the European Union have some awesome opportunities to explore new places? 🚀✈ You're probably familiar with the Erasmus+ exchanges available to all EU students, right? Well, I recently decided to dive into the adventure myself. Despite having experienced an exchange before, this time I'm venturing into uncharted territory – the Czech Republic, or as it's officially called now, Czechia. While Prague might be the first city that comes to mind, there's so much more to discover. The Mith, the Man, the Legend....

Quick, what is the first thought when you hear Metamorphosis??? Charms of Moravia's Grandmother

  What a title, right? Are you curious? 😁 No doubt you're wondering, who the heck is Moravia, right? 😂 Well, it's a part of Czechia, of course. Czechia is divided into three major regions with interesting names: Bohemia - named after the tribes who inhabited it (the Romans named it and the name stuck) Moravia - named after the Morava River (despite its less-than-pleasant brown color 😅) Silesia - named after the mountain and river (surprise, surprise 😂) And now, the name of the grandmother is... Opava! 😲😲 Yes, you heard it right. Opava is the grandmother of Czech Silesia. In her youth, she was in good health and was the largest and most important city in Czechia, but now her granddaughter Ostrava has taken her place. Nevertheless, Opava is still a somewhat important and sizable city with 55,000 inhabitants. Seriously, what's there to see here? I would recommend visiting one of the parks. National Treasure in Czechia

  Jeseniky is simply amazing. Wait a minute...YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT ARE JESENIKY. Shame on you 😂 It is a national park in Checkia, and let me tell you it is gorgeous.  You may asked what to do there right? Well if you like hiking and are not in the Lebron James condition, you are in luck. The mountains or rather hills are not very steep and easily walkable by foot. On the other hand, if you are a fan of winter sports, you may consider going on a ski trip in the winter months.  I recommend managing your booking in one of the villages, such as Vapenna, because of the lower cost, accessibility by train or car, and necessary infrastructure (shops, bars...). If you are going to spend a few days here I recommend visiting a nearby place called Black Waters, yes that is the literal name of the place.
